The News That May Change My Life

I know that I haven't been writing this blog as much as I wanted too, but when ever something major happens in my life the only way I can get my feelings off my chest is to write about it. Well today is no different, this blog is not the result of an argument and no its not about something that someone did or I over heard from somebody. Today I want to speak on what my doctor said to me at my physical.

Whats the worse thing that you can think of that a doctor can walk in a room and tell you? If you would have asked me before Friday, I would have said without a blink "you have HIV/AIDS." But I heard a few words this Friday that almost made me fall to my knees and cry.

When I first got in the little doctor room, I will remember this room because  this is the room in which I received The News. The room number was 2-11. After the general weigh in, something told me to run! run away! lol but we proceeded on. The doctor took my blood pressure, and dont you know it she said " your blood pressure is sorta high, but were gonna do it again a little later because sometimes the first time we do it it can be a little high." Me being me, im thinking what ever and yep, later on in the visit when we did the test again it came back high again, so my doctor concluded my blood pressure. "cut back on all the salts and do something to relieve stress" is what she says, Oh yea I forgot to tell you she says im over weight by about 25 pounds but thats only have of it.

So this is where the killers come in, and ill just cut to the point, Im sitting here freezing my nads off while the doctor is looking at the blotches on my skin, eczema, and she begins to ask me about diabetes in my family, so I answer her questions then I ask why all the questions, she says "the blotches on your back look like the presence of some common form of diabetes, we will test you for it." Now if thats not bad enough, while the doc was doing an examination of my testicles, she says "there seems to be a growth here, this could be signs of testicular cancer." After that statement , I heard nothing else. I know she tried to tell me she would do more test, and it will be ok with new medicine these things can be taken care, but i did not care. This was not what I planed on hearing that day. So I did cry. Im not gonna lie.

The reason I titled this post this way, is because although the doctor told me all this bad news, the test haven't come back yet. This news made me cry and also made me realize that I have the best girlfriend ever, because she was the only person there with me when the doctor gave me this news. Im not even gonna sit here and act like this wasn't not the worse ish ive ever heard. But I did realize that until the test come back im not gonna sit and cry. I believe christ my lord does everything for a reason. So if you happen to read this, I want you to feel bad for me. This news hasn't changed my life yet. The key word in the title is MAY. Im gonna hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

you ever wonder?

You ever wonder why the lord, put you in certain situations? Well I do all the time. Now when I say I wonder, that does not mean that I am second guessing my lord but what it does mean is that I sit and wonder why me. Now I know that the Lord will never put more upon me than I can bare, and I can recite Psalms 55:22 "cast thy burden upon the lord and he shall sustain thee, he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." But that does not stop my worldly like body from asking "why?"

It is because our lord loves us that he puts us in certain situations. We definitely serve a vengeful god but he does not put us in these places as an act of discipline, although most of us need that. But he puts us here as a test of our love for him. Everyone and their mother can recite Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and even Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon formed against me shall prosper." But how many of us believe this whole heartily. The Lord test us. He wants to know how much you truly love him and believe in his word.

Now alot of people tend to fail these test due to the impact this world has on our lives. Example being if a plane is going down we are all screaming our lungs, out telling everyone we love them and praying. But when the plane hits the water and everyone survives the prayers go out the window, we give all our thanks to the pilot and never to our lord and savior the one who truly brought us out. See the lord continues to test us daily, and even though most of us our C+ students at best the lord is a Professor that will never give up on you. You ever heard of the No child left behind, well the Lord believes in NO SOULS LEFT BEHIND. He gives us chance after chance, and his love never fades.

So the next time you find yourself wondering "Why lord, why did this happen to me" just know that "We glory in tribulations also, knowing  that tribulations worketh patience; and patience, experience and experience, hope and hope maketh not ashamed because the love of god is shed abroad in our hearts by the holy ghost which is given unto us."

The Rest of the Story: The Love I Need

The Love I Need

When I awake I hope that I get to look into your beautiful eyes again. I love you and I want you to know that I am serious. We have been dating for a long 2 years and we have had our share of problems. Its been a rough ride but it has been the most enjoyable ride I have ever been on.

When I call you my bae, I want you to know that there has never been another bae. That name has only yours. You were the only girl good enough to have my heart and be my bae. I love you with all my heart. I spent my whole life looking for you. The one person who completes me. We walk hand in hand down the road to success and we refuse to let the other one fall or stumble.

I know we have had our problems, just like all couples but you always seem to find a way to make things better. When we first started to get serious, I think I was more afraid of the feelings I had for you, but you opened my eyes and made me realize that I shouldn't be afraid of love. They say behind every great man is a great woman. But my great woman is beside me, she helped me realize how great WE are together.  I never want the butterflies i get when I see you to go away. And it dont't hurt that she is the most beautiful thing I have ever laid eyes on. I love your eyes, ur cute smile, your curves and your booty lmao. I love ASHLEY L. REDMOND and I hope you like this.

The fear of Moving on and meeting new people

As a child I have always had this fear of moving on to new things. Like most people I like things the way they are and I dont really want things to change. People tend to not believe me when I say this because they think that I am such a people person and because I know so many types and kinds of people. But im here to tell you I fear moving on.  I do have a great personality once I become close to you but I don't want to become close to a lot of people. My girlfriend can attest to this, I criticize almost every new person I come across. Not because im mean, I am an ass hole, but because new people make me uncomfortable and when ever I become afraid or uncomfortable my technique of dealing with it was to crack jokes and thats what I do.

I just wanted to know if there is anyone out there who has a problem with moving on meeting new people. This topic came up because I was thinking after graduation I will probably have to move away and start a life in another city somewhere and have to meet new people. Now im not saying that I cant do it, because i have done it many times before and people tend to like me, im just saying I dont like to do it and dont look forward to it.

I think this may have all steemed from the moving around and different schools and stuff as a child. Or maybe I just dont like people that much. If you have any opinions or experiences dont hesitate to comment.

Im going to leave you with this joke:

A man was driving home late one afternoon, and he was driving above the speed limit. He notices a police car with its red lights on in his rear view mirror. He thinks "I can outrun this guy," so he floors it and the race is on. The cars are racing down the highway -- 60, 70, 80, 90 miles an hour.

Finally, as his speedometer passes 100, the guy figures "what the heck," and gives up. He pulls over to the curb.

The police officer gets out of his cruiser and approaches the car. He leans down and says "Listen mister, I've had a really lousy day, and I just want to go home. Give me a good excuse and I'll let you go."

The man thought for a moment and said... "Three weeks ago, my wife ran off with a police officer. When I saw your cruiser in my rear view mirror, I thought that you were the officer and that you were trying to give her back to me!"

Family Ties

I hear all the things people say about their family and it makes me think, If I was in that situation would I say that about my family.  I doubt it. There is nothing like family.  Now I know everyone can quote the bible verse that says "honor thy father and mother, so that you may live long" but what about  Proverbs 6:20 "my son, keep thy fathers commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother"  or  proverbs 11:29 "he that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart."  These verses show you that keeping your household in order has always been part of the teachings. We as youth need to respect our elders more. My family is not the best, and yes they get on my damn nerves sometimes, but I would never disrespect them. we only have a few things in this world thats our faith, our word and our family. I dont plan on losing any of them. So when you get mad at Moms and pops and you want to slap the crap out of them (cause we want to do that sometimes) just think about  Matthew 15:4 " For god commanded saying honour thy father and mother, and he that curseth father or mother, let him die the death"

I love all of my Family.

Hate me or Love me

This isnt the first time have sat and thought about this. Apparently there are some people out there who just dont like me and my personality. I have never been the type of person to pick a fight with anyone. So I live by the motto,
"hate me or love, at the end of our meeting you will respect me"

I have been told all my life that I have such a great personality, so it always amazes me when i hear through the grape vine that someone said they didnt like me. I dont hold it against that person at all because I dont like alot of people. I just wanted to write this to tell my readers that if someone says they dont like you, brush that off and keep on moving. We dont need the approval of these people here on earth. The bible says no weapon formed against me shall prosper. This tells you that the lord has your back no matter how much hate is thrown your way. Enjoy the people who love you and dont even acknowledge those who hate because alot of the time they just want attention from someone.

Irony?

I heard someone say that "children imitate their environment."  they then went on to talk about how the media is so violent and this is the reason that we have so many criminal acts caused by children today. Now even though I have a hard time believing this is the cause of the problems with todays youth. My mind just kept thinking "well isnt it ironic?"

Now you probably look at me and think what do you mean by that, and I will tell you. Isnt it Ironic that the person who was making these statements is one of those people who only listens to rap music. The dirtier the better it is according to him. Isnt it ironic that all of his favoriite movies are about drug dealers, the mafia, or action packed killing and horor films. And ultimately he says well children will find away to disobey their parent.

Galatians 6:9 says "let us not grow weary in good doing." I picked this verse because it spoke to the fact that this kid claiims its hard to to keep an eye on todays youth, with all the violence in todays media. Well if you were trying to obey gods will and raise up todays youth, then dont give into the worldy pressures of today. Dont slack off by doing one thing and telling todays youth not to do it. Stay focused do not grow weary, if you think that it is hard to keep your children away from these things, look to the bible. It will show you the way and the answer.

So I ask is it ironic that this guy thinks todays media is to violent, or is it that this guy is too of the world and dont want to be a good example for his children so he blames it on the media? you tell me

Im going to leave you with this joke:

The Unaswered Question

Have you ever looked up to the sky asking for asnswers to a question that only you could answer. Well I recently did and I felt like maybe I should share this with you guys. Now I know everyones lifes experinces are not like mines so you may not be able to relarte. But I recently found myself in a predicament where i was alone with questions about why my life was the way it is. I sat to myself for a hour orr so just upset, upset with myself and just asking the big man why evveryone seemed to be in better situations than I. It took the help of my beautiful girlfriend to help me realize that where I am in life is not bad. People would die to be where I am. I just didnt want to hear it though.

You know how that is. But after a while I looked to mmy bible.  I opened it without even looking for a verse I looked down and this is what my bible said
--Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10

I felt like this was a sign, not only a sign that I will be ok but a sign that my life is in my hands. All the answers to all my questions were answered. This verse showed me that I can make the things happen in my life. If I want an internship then I have to go out there and get one. No matter what I do the lord will be by my side. So I got up and I smiled a little, chuckled lifted my head and said nice one. I just want to take this time and thank my girlfriend Ashley L Redmond for trying to help me with my unaswered questions, and  my lord and saviour jesus christ for showing me the answer.

and now im going to leave you witht his joke:

Three buddies die in a car crash, and they go to heaven to an orientation.

They are all asked, "When you are in your casket and friends and family are mourning upon you, what would you like to hear them say about you? The first guy says, "I would like to hear them say that I was a great doctor of my time, and a great family man."

The second guy says, "I would like to hear that I was a wonderful husband and school teacher which made a huge difference in our children of tomorrow."

The last guy replies, "I would like to hear them say, "Look! He's moving!"

Is it really addiction??

Maybe you know this about me, maybe you don't but I have an addictive personality. Now when I say this I don't mean that I do drugs or anything, because I don't. Addictive personality refers to a particular set of personality traits that make an individual predisposed to addictions. I can't explain why this is, but all my life my parents told me to becareful because addiction to variety of things runs in my family from drugs, gambling, food, shopping, ect.

Well I come into this equation because I notice that I have gone through a few phases in my life that were pretty crazy. I know that all kids go through shoe phases but to the point that you have over 60 pairs of shoes by one brand is what is considered obsesive.

I have seen this addictive personality peek its little head again, this time it was in the form of working. Now I was not allowed to have a job back in my highschool years. So my first job came my summer before my first year in college. Once I got that taste of freedom of making my own money I became addicted. This year alone I fouind myself working multiple jobs at once along with going to school, and I couldn't bring myself to cut back on the stress. My only excuse for putting myself through all of this was " I love money." Would find myself in situations where i could barely keep my eyes open at work and my boss would try to send me home and I would stay. Since being allowed to work I have always worked on my birthday and most holidays.

The newest occurrence that I see coming is my fascination with waatches. I just felt like addressing this before I let it get out of control. This not something that I have made up or that I have super control over. I can control the things I interact with, and I can control my spending. But once I get really into something it just becomes really hard maintain that control.

well this was just something I was thinking about so I figured i would tell you guys. Thanks for subscribing. Lets try to get me more subscribers. Im goin to leave you with this joke:

A man and a little boy entered a barbershop together. After the man received the full treatment - shave, shampoo, manicure, haircut, etc. - he placed the boy in the chair.

"I'm goin' to buy a green tie to wear for the parade," he said. "I'll be back in a few minutes."

When the boy's haircut was completed and the man still hadn't returned, the barber said, "Looks like your daddy's forgotten all about you." "That wasn't my daddy," said the boy. "He just walked up, took me by the hand and said, 'Come on, son, we're gonna get a free haircut!'"

Is Toyota really american now

Now recently I held a conversation with a close friend and he stated that he declared Toyota to be an American car company. Now if you no anything about me when I believe im right I will let you know that I am right. So I countered that Toyota is not American it is Japanese owned. Now he did counter with the fact that Toyota has many plants over here where they build their cars and that they employ a lot of Americans. Toyota really has a method behind taking over the North American auto market. They do believe localization, which is manufacturing where they sell.

Now my argument was that the only reason Toyota produce in America is to avoid tariffs. Now I have spent some time researching this statement,  and I have not been able to find any info that supports my statement. I  understand that I don't have any support, but I will never say that Toyota is an American car company. Some would say " how is Chrysler consider American if it was sold to a foreign company?" I reply to that by saying, They were created here in Michigan. To be American you need to be created here, like a person, if you were born here no matter where you go you will always be American.

Again don't forget to follow me on facebook and twitter. And tell your friends to subscribe to my blog.

Im going to leave you with this joke:

Yesterday I was at the local Wal-Mart. Now I was only in there for about 5 minutes and when I came out, there he was - a damn Motorcycle cop writing a parking ticket ...

So, I went to him and said: "Come on Buddy, how about giving a guy a break?"

He simply ignored me and continued writing the ticket.

So, I called him a pencil necked Nazi. He then glared at me and started writing another ticket for having bald tires!

So, I called him a sorry excuse for a human being. He then finished the second ticket and put it on the car with the first. Then he started to write a third ticket!

This went on for about 25 minutes ... the more I abused and hurled insults at him, the more tickets he wrote ...
But hey, I didn't give a damn. My car was parked around the corner ...

Just a thought

Its not a secret that we are living in the time of the great recession. Unemployment is at 8.7%. Now this isn't as high as it was a few years ago but its not low by far. It is really scary for people like me and you, when I say me and you I am referring to students close to graduating. It seems as if a college degree does not automatically mean you will be employed anymore. Now days it takes a lot more to succeed in the job market. I am just so happy that I attend such a great university. Michigan State University provides you with so many resources and opportunities to help make yourself more favorable in this job market.

Here is a clip of some of your fellow Spartans who are proving that we can still make our dreams come true.

Now I know these students are not the average graduate. Some would even say they are lucky to graduate with employment. But isn't that the reason we all became Spartans in the first place. WE ARE NOT THE SAME WE ARE SPARTANS!!!! I just want all my fellow peers to not look at the statistics and say whats not available, and look at themselves and go out and get what is or if you have that drive make your own way. Well thats just what I think.

Thank you to all who who have subscribed to my blog. Don't forget to follow me on twitter and facebook. And don't forget to tell your friends about my blog. Im going to leave you with this joke:

I am going to leave you guys with this joke:

Two buddies Bob and Earl were two of the biggest baseball fans in America.

Their entire adult lives, Bob and Earl discussed baseball history in the winter, and they pored over every box score during the season. They went to 60 games a year. They even agreed that whoever died first would try to come back and tell the other if there was baseball in heaven.

One summer night, Bob passed away in his sleep after watching the Yankee victory earlier in the evening. He died happy. A few nights later, his buddy Earl awoke to the sound of Bob's voice from beyond.

"Bob, Is that you?" Earl asked.

"Of course it me," Bob replied.

"This is unbelievable!" Earl exclaimed. "So tell me, is there baseball in heaven?"

"Well, I have some good news and some bad news for you. Which do you want to hear first?"

"Tell me the good news first."

"Well, the good news is that yes there is baseball in heaven, Earl."

"Oh, that is wonderful! So what could possibly be the bad news?"

"You're pitching tomorrow night."

lol GO TIGERS!!!!!
